I still remember the small “perya” back home in the Philippines, the colorful lights, the music in the air, the simple ferris wheel that felt magical as a child.

And now… here I am.

It’s surreal.

The ferris wheel I once thought was “big” now feels like a tiny memory compared to this massive structure touching the sky. This one is 100x bigger, brighter, and built with a kind of ambition I used to only see on TV.

As I walk around the island, I see life everywhere, cafés buzzing, restaurants glowing at sunset, people jogging by the sea, the cool winter breeze wrapping around the city. It’s the kind of place where you don’t rush. You just wander… and take it all in.

For someone like me who grew up dreaming of seeing the wonders of the world, this moment feels different. Personal. Almost sacred.

I’ve always been fascinated by architecture, how imagination turns into steel and glass, how a city can reinvent itself again and again. And Dubai does exactly that. It transforms before your eyes.

Sometimes I pause and think…
The kid who once watched beautiful places on TV would never believe he’d be standing here.

Dreams evolve.
And sometimes, they grow bigger than the ferris wheel you once knew.
