Following a brand refresh, the Global Innovation Team along with the Global Corporate Brand Team identified that there was a need to transform the DoubleTree lobby in line with the new positioning - something ownable that exceeds the guest of today’s expectations.
Meraki & Modus was briefed and engaged to create a signature lobby prototype for DoubleTree Hotels that would match the new positioning of the brand but also be flexible enough to meet the different sizes and locales of the entire portfolio.
As hotel lobbies have evolved into all-day places, Meraki & Modus worked to create a space that was not only reflective of a guest’s uses for the a new third space, but also a concept that reflected the brand’s story, personality and values.
We were inspired by DoubleTree’s quintessentially American, family-centric, and core focus on comfort and we created The Den.
As most DoubleTree Hotels are conversions and at different stages of their refurb cycle, the new lobby prototype will be rolled out in all new hotels and upon refurb of existing ones.
