November 25th, say no to Violence against Women 🤜🏻💃⛔️
In France, 137 women were killed by their husband since January 2019, it means 1 woman every 2,5 day 😱
220000 women are injured every year in France after domestic abuses, suffering mainly from facial traumas, burns & ge***al mutilations
This is the responsability of everyone to fight against these violences, plastic surgeons also play a role mainly by reconstructing the face & ge***als, it was the main topic at the french meeting of plastic surgery SOFCPRE last week
We debated also whether or not the medical secrecy should be lifted in case of violence against women in order to avoid deeds...and you, what do you think? Should a doctor inform police in case of high risk for a woman abused by her husband? 🤔
