Type I vs Type II Respiratory Failure.

In type I RF, respiratory system cannot provide adequate oxygen to the organism leading to hypoxemia (low blood O2 levels).

Whereas in type II RF, respiratory system cannot sufficiently remove the carbon dioxide from the will result in hypercapnia (high blood CO2 levels).
