Our Story
Depression, anxiety, and emotional distress affect us all in one way or another, especially in times of transition and change. Sometimes, the stresses we experience are manageable and within the realm of normalcy. Other times, our mental and emotional stresses are so great, unexpected, or unknown, that they become unmanageable and may even require professional treatment. This can cause additional levels of unwanted mental and emotional difficulties, especially when we’re based in a country with a language and culture different from our own.
We at U!Shine Vienna know these struggles firsthand. As a collection of people from all over the world, we each have a story that details the often painful challenges of mental illness while having no idea who to tell, what to do, or where to start.
That’s where we come in.
U!Shine Vienna is the hand that reaches through the thick fog of mental illness - to you. We’ve been where you are, and we know the way out. We’re not experts or professionals, but we’re the bridge to get you to them. We’re your support system, your sounding board. You’ll be treated with unconditional positive regard, compassion, and respect.
