Thermal Imaging at Myponga 🔥🌿

Here’s a thermal image from a home in Myponga we inspected today after the owners reported overheating during warm weather.

The bright orange areas show heat pouring into the living space — and the cooler purple zones reveal where the insulation has already been installed. The scan quickly confirmed the issue, sections of the ceiling insulation were missing or poorly installed, creating hot spots and uneven temperatures throughout the home.

Fortunately, this part of the roof space is accessible, so the insulation can be corrected and the home will see an immediate improvement in comfort.

Thermal imaging is a powerful tool for diagnosing hidden performance problems and helping homeowners achieve a cooler, more efficient home.

We have just kicked off a MVHR retrofit at a home in Krondorf, right in the heart of the Barossa. The new ducting is being carefully installed and will be covered with insulation to bring it within the thermal envelope, helping the system run efficiently year-round.

Retrofitting MVHR into existing homes takes a bit more planning, but the results are worth it — cleaner indoor air, better comfort, and improved energy performance without a full rebuild.

MVHR First Fix in Willunga 🌿

Our latest MVHR project is underway with the first fix on this new high-performance build in Willunga. The 90mm semit rigid ducting is now in place, laid out for smooth airflow and efficient operation once the system is commissioned.

This home is being built with a strong focus on airtightness, comfort and indoor air quality — and the MVHR system will play a key role in keeping it healthy and energy-efficient all year round.
