Greer Provis

I'm not great at sharing progress pics, the constant battling of perfectionist tendencies is the real reason.
At this stage in a painting there are still so many areas I want to work on. However, despite the half mapped in furniture, incomplete umbrellas, foreground detailing and tide adjustments....... it's gradually getting that sublime Summer feeling I'm trying to capture in these up coming works.

Blocking in this beachscape today. There will be a foreground overlay so this will become the background of the painting.

One last painting session will see this one resolved!
It's been a journey as I have needed to jump to other works and then return to this one. For that reason it has evolved and changed more than other works, reflecting the influences and events that have occurred in the time. Looking forward to a new canvas.......I love completing paintings but I also starting them.
