Why is a decrease in housing prices bad news?
Oh, yes, the media is owned by the wealthy. How about consulting and engaging with the public, and our state government, who constantly say we have a housing crisis?
Surely this helps make homes more affordable?

Why is the Australian government still in AUKUS?
Germany and Norway have designed, and are about to build, a new Type 212CD submarine, fitted with a hydrogen fuel cell-based air-independent propulsion system and diesel engines. This means it can stay underwater for weeks without having to resurface at all. It is completely silent and optimised for stealth.
No need for nuclear power, as the difference has just been drastically reduced.
AUKUS submarines create nuclear waste, go against the agreement Australia signed against nuclear weapons and warfare, and will be completely obsolete when delivered (if they ever are - Trump may pull out at any time).
Billions of dollars that could be spent on housing, NDIS, carer benefits, the homeless etc etc.
These submarines are now being offered to Canada, who were not even spoken to about AUKUS to see if they wanted to be involved.
We are constantly told we are a rich country, but as long as the public are not respectfully consulted on spending priorities we will all keep struggling to pay our bills. Spending billions that we will have to borrow on obsolete submarines, continuing to give away our resources for free, means we are becoming poorer, not richer.
All except the rich 1% of course, who continue to grow their wealth faster than ever.
