Got a new Seagate 2TB backup hard drive. Works on PC and Mac. Only $149 from Dick Smith (I had a voucher to use).

Comes with backup software that you can set a weekly, monthly or continuous backup.

Remember that it's good to also have an "off site" backup in case of something like the house burning down (touch wood). Either hard drive at someone else's house or Google Drive and DropBox are the popular options these days.

If you're not backing up your computer, now you have the info on your options, make sure you set a time to get it done.

Do you have a Mac? Use these shortcut keys to make your life easier.

To Copy:
- Highlight the text (or item)
- hold down the command key
- press C key
- then release both.

To paste:
- put the cursor where you want to paste
- hold down command
- press V
- release both keys.

Once you get used to it you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

On windows it's the Control key instead of Command.

Some people will think this is an old trick but always surprises me the number of people who are still unsure about how to do this.
