Pre-poll starts today, so here's how we recommend you direct your preferences in the ACT!

We're pretty lucky here in the ACT, as both One Nation and Trumpet of Patriots have decided the city is too progressive to even bother running. However, we can't rest on our laurels, and just because two of the most hateful parties aren't running here doesn't mean that there's no value to directing preferences carefully.

The Greens have a chance to make real change this term, and I absolutely would love to see a voice from Canberra among them.

No matter when or where you vote over the next few weeks, make sure you vote 1 Greens!

The fact that disabled workers are not paid the standard minimum wage is a form of discrimination that is far too accepted. The minimum wage is the bare minimum for EVERYONE, including disabled workers. I am proud to stand with my fellow Greens against the major parties, who appear to accept this.

With the gross mismanagement of the NDIS under this Labor government, it is particularly shameful that they refuse to take action on this pay discrepancy. They are kicking disabled Australians off essential funding at the same time they are allowing them to be paid peanuts.

Shame on Labor, and remember: the only real vote for change in the ACT this election is a vote for the Greens. We're the only party who can keep Dutton out and get Labor to act on issues like this.

Because he is FAR to humble to brag about it himself, I want to inform the voters of Bean about the big wins had at the Australian Athletics Championships in Perth. While other candidates have been doing the slightly less impressive work of standing at shopping centres, Sam has won a 1st place for the 400m and a 2nd place in the 100m (despite a blown tire).

With solid experience representing the ACT nationally in sport, surely representing Bean in parliament is the logical next step!

Hey everyone!

I'm the first to admit I'm not the best at posting regularly on social media, but this account exists, and I figured I'd use it!

Now that election day is locked in (May 3rd), and ballot order has been locked in (I'm lucky last on the senate ballot), I just generally wanted to post something about how the campaign has been going so far.

Honestly, it's been incredible. I genuinely think I'm the luckiest candidate in the whole ACT. I have an amazing party filled with incredible people who have come from all walks of life to try and get great things done. As a support candidate, I also have the benefit of having a ton of smarter people than me around when people want to get into the weeds of an issue I'm not that familiar with!

Even though I'm not in this race to win a seat, I feel like I've gained so much already. I've had the chance to meet so many great people, both Greens volunteers and folks out at stalls or on the doors. As someone who's lived in Canberra most of my life, it's been a great chance to get to know the city better, and connect with the people that live here.

Shout out, of course, to my amazing fellow candidates who have made it as enjoyable as it is so far. Dani has the force of will to make anything possible, Izzy has the magical ability to make everyone she talks to feel heard and understood, Sam has a welcoming and friendly energy that's always a delight to encounter, and Christina has a passion and experience that I hope I can learn from.

There's only a few weeks left before we either take our new jobs in Parliament or crawl under a rock to sleep off the campaign (depending on the result!) so come hang out while you can! If you want to get to know these amazing people, get in touch! The Greens have done an amazing job this campaign of finding ways to include so many talents and skills, so there's a way to get involved no matter how much or how little you have the capacity to provide!

Hey! I'm Jo, and I have the privilege of being one of the ACT Greens senate candidates for the upcoming federal election.

I was born in Canberra, and have spent most of my life here. I believe that the Greens are the only party with the progressive values that truly match this city, and we have transformative policies that will actually help the people who live in the ACT.

I'm a teacher by training, and a public housing resident, so I have spent a lot of time around the people who will benefit most when there is a Greens representative from the ACT in parliament. My goal this election is to work like hell to make sure that Labor knows no ACT seat can be taken for granted!
