For 25 years, Nurse Unit Manager and proud Melton local Mandy Cullen has cared for our community with compassion and dedication.
Today, her incredible contributions have been recognised by a tower crane bearing her name at the new Melton Hospital construction site.
As the new hospital takes shape, we are celebrating the people who go above and beyond to provide exceptional care.

We want you to be seen as quickly as possible, so if you need care and it is not an emergency, please consider these alternative pathways to care:

💙 Every day, our radiotherapy nursing team at Sunshine Hospital supports people through some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Patients often see the team daily over several weeks of treatment, with nurses building relationships of trust and providing reassurance throughout care.
Our radiotherapy nursing team recently received an anonymous INSPIRE Award nomination that beautifully captured how patients experience the support they get from the team:
“Thank you for being the greatest nursing team ever.
Your enormous care and warm hearts support the patient's cancer journey.
When patients are in despair, you bring hope.
When they are in fear, you bring peace.
When they are sad, you bring joy.
When they feel hatred, you show love.
When they are hurt, you help them heal.”
The Award came as a surprise to the team, but it is a well-deserved recognition of the compassion and dedication they bring to every patient, every day.
