No, this photo wasn't taken today.
But with it being the first day of winter, it felt appropriate to pull out a photo of Phil and I rugged up by the ocean looking like we'd accidentally booked a holiday to Antarctica. π
While many of us are feeling the cold on the first day of winter, today is also a reminder to .
What started as a breast cancer awareness campaign has become a monthly reminder for me to pay attention to my overall health.
Not just the obvious things.
My energy. My stress levels. My sleep. My mindset. My body.
Because our bodies are pretty clever. They often whisper long before they scream.
Research tells us that chronic stress can impact everything from our immune system and sleep quality to heart health and overall wellbeing. Yet so many of us push through, telling ourselves we'll slow down "when things settle down."
The reality?
Things rarely settle down on their own.
So today, while you're searching for your beanie, turning up the heater and wondering where autumn disappeared to, take five minutes for a health check too.
π Book that appointment you've been putting off. π Do your self-check. π Check in on your mental health. π Ask yourself how you're really going.
Your business needs you.
Your family needs you.
And most importantly, you need you.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to locate my winter woollies and complain about the temperature until at least September. π

Fresh flowers from yesterday's baby shower, a candle burning and a quiet few hours to myself.
This weekend has been a beautiful mix of family, friendship and business.
With all the excitement of preparing for Alarna's baby shower, spending time with family and enjoying the special moments that make life so meaningful, there were a few things on my business to-do list that didn't quite get finished during the week.
And honestly, I love having a few hours on a Sunday to catch up.
Not because I have to.
Because I enjoy what I do.
There is something incredibly satisfying about ticking off those lingering tasks, clearing some space in my head and setting myself up for the week ahead.
For me, one of the greatest gifts of running our own business is the flexibility to make room for both.
The celebrations. The family moments. The friendships. The work that lights me up.
Sometimes that means a busy week and a few focused hours on a Sunday afternoon.
And that's okay.
In fact, it's exactly the kind of life and business I've worked to create.
Now, with flowers on my desk and a sense of accomplishment creeping in, I'm feeling excited for a new month, a new week and all the opportunities ahead.
What helps you feel prepared and intentional heading into a new week? π
