T42 is finally getting her refresh after sitting for 12 months, and the resident cats are excited if you can tell 👀

Totally missed putting anything up from Latrobe 28th of Feb. So here’s the recap and some cool pics thanks to Angryman Photography. 📸

Sharla driving Team Weaver Racing T61. And Emerson in the T22.

Heat 2, Sharla out of 6th, finished 7th. Emerson out of 9th, finished 6th.

Heat 8, Sharla out of 5th, finished 6th. Emerson out of 4th with a DNF.

Heat 11 Sharla out of 3rd, DNF.

B main, Sharla out of 12th, then supposed to be 8th I think, but ended up starting in like 16th due to a hiccup. Finished 13th. Emerson DNS.

The first heat was so awesome. Emerson struggled a little getting back behind the wheel after almost a year off and truly noticing the difference between the stock 22 and the new and improved 42. But Sharla got her confidence back, had a rough take off but then had a really good and fun run. Emerson gave her some words about her take offs so for the second heat she took on his wise words and we saw major improvements off the start line. Managed to get past him not once, but twice! Even almost got a PB for Latrobe and in a car she’d never driven. However unfortunately Emerson then got tagged and ended up on the wall with a lot of damage that was unfortunately not reparable at the track. The final heat was one to forget. However the B main was okay.

Keen to get back behind the wheel and have a crack at Hobart this coming weekend!

Night 2 results

Heat 1 out of 6th, finished 8th.
Heat 3 out of 3rd, finished 7th
A main out of 15th, finished 12th.

13 hours at the track today and she’s all done! 🏁

Heat 1 decided I didn’t need 4 tyres and lost one, turn one, lap one. 🙃

Got that fixed up and made it out for the next 3 heats.

20/20 A Main….. reversed away from the trailer and realised I’d lost all power steering.. managed to make a couple of passes here and there but with all my might gripping onto the steering wheel to get the big girl to turn and I didn’t hold onto many passes.
First 40 lap final for me and a broken steering rack.. Was a tough one for sure but pretty happy to have minimal damage and new challenges taken on. 👏🏻
