🌟🐾 SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY – AURA'S TURN 🐾🌟

Aura has been waiting so patiently.

She arrived in our care at just 10 weeks old alongside her three siblings after they were surrendered to the rescue.

One by one, her siblings were chosen.

One by one, they packed their little bags and left for their forever homes.

And each time, Aura stayed behind.

Now, at 9 months old, she is the only one still waiting. 💔

While her brothers and sisters are curled up on couches, sleeping in warm beds, and being loved by families of their own, Aura is still waiting for someone to choose her.

It's hard not to feel sad for her.

She has spent almost her entire kittenhood watching life pass by, wondering when it will finally be her turn.

Yet despite being overlooked time and time again, Aura hasn't given up.

She still greets each day with excitement and enthusiasm. She still seeks out cuddles and affection and loves being close to her people. 💛

She loves to chat and will happily tell you all about her day. She proudly carries her favourite toy mouse around like a treasured trophy and throws herself into life with a joy that is impossible not to love.

Aura is affectionate, playful, confident, and full of personality.

The kind of kitten most people say they're looking for.

Which is why it breaks our hearts that she is still waiting.

We truly don't understand why this beautiful girl keeps being overlooked.

For almost her entire kittenhood, Aura has been waiting for someone to fall in love with her.

Nine months later, she's still waiting. 💔

Because she is such a social girl, she will need a home with an existing friendly cat. She absolutely loves feline company and would thrive with a kitty friend to share her adventures.

🧡 THREE MONTHS LATER... EDDIE IS STILL WAITING 🧡

Three months ago, we shared Eddie's story.

Thousands of people saw his post.
Hundreds reacted.
Many commented about how beautiful and sweet he is.

But three months later, Eddie is still waiting.

Still waiting for someone to see beyond his disability.
Still waiting for someone to give him a chance.
Still waiting for a place to call home.

When Eddie appeared at one of our foster carers' homes, he was thin, starving, and alone. He sat quietly at the door, hoping someone would notice him.

We did.

Since then, we've learned that Eddie has nerve damage affecting his bladder and bowels. It's likely the reason he found himself abandoned and left to survive on his own.

But Eddie doesn't know he's different.

He still loves people.
He still enjoys pats and attention.
He still has a playful side.
He still greets every day with the same gentle, trusting nature.

Eddie is incredibly affectionate and loves being around his people. He enjoys company, attention, and simply being part of the family.

While Eddie uses his litter tray, he has no a**l sensation and will occasionally drop a poo without realising. He is only urinary incontinent when grooming his ge****ls or back legs, due to the pressure this puts on his bladder.

These challenges don't define Eddie—but unfortunately they may be the reason he continues to be overlooked.

The truth is, if Eddie looked exactly the same but didn't have special needs, he would probably be in a home already.

Instead, he waits.

Day after day.
Week after week.
Month after month.

Waiting for someone to see past his disability and recognise the incredible cat underneath.

The hardest part is knowing that Eddie doesn't understand why nobody has chosen him.

He doesn't know why other cats leave for their forever homes while he stays behind.

He only knows that every day he wakes up hoping for love, companionship, and a place to belong.

Eddie has waited long enough.
