London's Heathrow Airport caps daily passenger numbers 14/07/2022

Heathrow Airport responds to the travel implications created by a lack of resources by capping daily passenger numbers.

CEO, John Holland-Kaye, said "there are some critical functions in the airport which are still significantly under-resourced, in particular ground handlers, who are contracted by airlines to provide check-in staff, load and unload bags and turnaround aircraft," making it a "significant constraint" to overall capacity”. Travel pain to worsen at Easter as passenger numbers explode 11/04/2022

As Australian airports are experiencing huge delays over the easter weekend, our CEO, Aaron Hornlimann shares his thoughts on how airports can address passenger congestion.

“Many airlines and airports have been hoping Covid will go away, but the biggest risk for airlines and airports when travel restrictions lifted was always going to be the risk of staff not being able to work due to Covid.

Checking in and dropping bags can be done without human intervention which removes the reliance on staff, while providing a faster passenger experience.”
