Threskionis Molluca, more commonly known as a BIN CHICKEN, has an ever increasing presence in the urban environment and with its habit of scratching about in garbage, it has become an icon of Australia's pop culture, celebrated as a symbol of moxie and grit by some and can illicit passionate revulsion in others.
I'm in the former camp, like ancient Egyptians I think they're pretty great!
One time the brazen sandwich thieves were relocated from Healesville Sanctuary to Sale. However, the birds returned in a few days.

Monoprinting fun time at Firestation Print Studio. I initially set out to create backgrounds for adding letterpress at a later date but I think this one is kind of interesting the way it is.
