Sometimes I get asked if the soil test will be a good result.

Sometimes I go into an explanation of the various classifications, but really a good result is a correct result. The soil report is about being prepared. Knowing what is there means the engineer is armed with correct info and can design accordingly.

Let’s look at the alternative. An incorrect soil report could lead to a design that doesn’t perform well. Then realising on site will cost time and money.

So the best soil reports will be correct soil reports. After all, what can you do? The soil at your site can’t really be changed.

Please note from next week we will be bunching jobs by location in an effort to not charge a fuel levy on soil reports. This may lead to turnaround times increasing by a few days. We may wait on some jobs for others in that general direction to hit the system.
