We’re thrilled to take part in the “Best Dressed Christmas Window” competition!
Â
Introducing: LIQUID LIGHT ✨
Â
Our festive window reimagines Christmas through an Australian lens – celebrating water rather than snow. While the Northern Hemisphere glistens with frost, our light shimmers like the ocean at dusk, reflecting warmth, movement, and calm.
Â
At the heart of the display is Fisherman’s Tears by Ingo Maurer – a delicate suspended net of glass droplets illuminated by layers and water-like reflections. Together they capture the quiet beauty of light through water, inviting a moment of stillness amid the Christmas rush.

If our window catches your eye, we’d love your vote 🫶🏼

AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT
We’re thrilled to share that 1 Hotel Melbourne has received a 2025 IES Lighting Design Award of Commendation, recognising achievement in lighting design for this ambitious new development which has redefined sustainable luxury in Australia.
Â
Reflecting the 1 Hotel ethos of sustainability and calm, the lighting forms a layered language woven through timber-lined volumes and tactile finishes. Throughout the guest, private and shared spaces, light gently guides movement and mood.
Â
This considered outcome is the result of close collaboration across architecture, interiors, construction, lighting supply and electrical teams, all working together with a shared focus to deliver precision, detail and atmosphere.
