For so many horror, fantasy and supernatural fans, Buffy the Vampire Slayer wasn’t just a TV show. It was a gateway into a world of vampires, demons, folklore, magic and monsters.

And Anthony Stewart Head’s Giles was the heart of that world. Wise, funny, fussy and always ready with a book when the apocalypse was looming.

It’s hard to lose so many of the people who helped make Sunnydale feel like home to us weirdos.
