Residencies can continue to offer beyond the initial time, space, and money. My consigned poem, Hesperia is now published in Junction, an anthology of the first cohort of artist residences from 2024 who responded to the Midland Courthouse Studio and local environs. The anthology is a rich array of art, including, written and graphic works by artists: Bec Bowman, Bianca Breen, Nina Dakin, Lakshmi Kanchi, Chris Bell and myself.

My poem, Hesperia is partly a found poem drawn from development brochures and council meeting minutes in response to the rezoning of Lot 9000 Cranwood crescent, Viveash, Midland from Industrial to residential and the environmental impacts of that decision.
