Cardio Respiratory Sleep
CRS offers a full range of respiratory & sleep diagnostic services & treatment for sleep disorders.
You may have seen Mandibular Advancement Splints (MAS) available online or at the pharmacy. For some people, they can be helpful.
However, the difference with a custom MAS device fitted through CRS comes down to precision and comfort. Our devices are designed using a 3D scan of your teeth, ensuring a highly accurate fit tailored specifically to you.
Many over the counter options rely on home moulding kits, which can sometimes feel bulky or uncomfortable. A professionally fitted device is designed to sit more naturally in the mouth and work effectively overnight.
If youβre exploring treatment options for snoring or sleep apnoea, our team can help guide you toward the most appropriate solution.

Asthma can begin to show signs in early childhood, sometimes even in the preschool years.π«
Parents may notice symptoms such as recurrent wheezing, persistent coughing, shortness of breath, or coughing that worsens at night or during exercise. In younger children, conditions such as preschool wheeze or frequent bronchitis can sometimes be early indicators that the airways are more sensitive.
Understanding what is causing a childβs breathing symptoms is important, and respiratory testing can help provide clearer answers.
At CRS, we offer paediatric respiratory testing at our Nedlands and Murdoch locations, supporting children with a range of respiratory concerns including asthma, preschool wheeze, chronic cough and bronchitis, shortness of breath, chronic lung disease of prematurity, and other respiratory disorders.

How does a Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS) actually work?
Dr Sivitra explains how MAS devices help support the airway during sleep. By gently moving the lower jaw slightly forward, the device helps keep the airway open and reduces the chance of it collapsing overnight.π€π΄
This can improve airflow and support more stable breathing through the night for some patients.
If youβve been told you snore heavily or may have sleep apnoea, the first step is a Sleep Test with our team here at CRS followed by a consultation that can help determine whether a MAS device is the right option for you.
