The 26/27 budget includes:

A new early childhood centre at Glen Forrest Primary School plus reverse cycle air con at Mundaring Primary School, Mount Helena Primary School and Kalamunda Primary School.

I am so excited to see these election commitments be delivered.

Every West Aussie kid deserves a quality education.

A big part of that is making sure our schools are great learning environments for students and teachers - with the capacity to keep up with growing communities.

That’s why we’re investing $2.1 billion in our schools over the next four years.

This year's State Budget includes new funding that will upgrade schools, expand capacity, and help build new schools across WA.

It builds on the 38 new schools we’ve already opened since 2017 - helping make sure families can access a great education, no matter where they live.

Yesterday, I took some friends to La Fattoria Perth Hills for a Nonnas Table lunch. It was so lovely and highly recommended. The staff were outstanding.

La Fattoria 𝘪𝘯 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘏𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴 I was fortunate to be invited to @lafattoriaperthhills on Sunday for a friend's birthday - and omg, what a stunning place! We were welcomed with open arms to this beautiful family owned and operated Italian restaurant, nestled in the Piesse Brook valley in Perth Hills. Being a Sunday, we had the 5 Course Nonna’s Family Table, which was divine. Taken at our own pace, with time to enjoy the beautiful vineyard/orchard views between courses. This self-pacing gives guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the whole La Fattoria experience. All guests booked for Nonna’s Family Table also receive complimentary wine tasting prior to their meal which helped us choose which wine we'd prefer to accompany our meal. This was a truly wonderful experience which has left me thinking about all the food, the wine and the warm hospitality we received. I'd certainly recommend visiting this hidden gem, especially during this lovely Autumn weather 𝘪𝘯 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘏𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴. #inperthhills

This is great news! During my time on council this was a very important issue. We need to protect our unique wildlife and this gives the Shire the power to enforce cat containment.

Amendments to the Cat Act have been introduced to Parliament!

If passed, the amendments will empower local governments to make and enforce local laws regarding cat containment.

Local councils will be able to engage with their communities on how they approach cat management and make local laws which reflect the needs of their community.

These amendments will better protect native wildlife and our much loved pet cats.

So that’s a win-win! 🙌
