Introducing Kerry Byrom-Carter

Kerry Byrom-Carter is a Perth based vocalist with performance experience in jazz, country,
pop and music theatre. Together with Sue Bluck and Jenny Wrenn, Kerry formed Birdland, a
tight jazz vocal trio. Performance highlights include a National tour with Demis Roussos, WA
Symphony Orchestra concert with Tommy Tycho, James Morrison Jazz Concert and a
National TV series for the ABC entitled Manteca.
Kerry toured the east coast extensively and was a regular session singer in Sydney and
recorded with Judy Stone, followed by an international tour to Tahiti.
The Jazz Divas with Helen Matthews was another important collaborative project with
performances included Film Stars at the Quarry, Jazz on Tap with Brenda Bufalino, Poets of
Tin Pan Alley and Sing for Life Concert at Perth Concert Hall.
Kerry continues to enjoy sharing good music with talented friends!

Introducing Sue Bluck

Sue Bluck is a Western Australian musician and vocalist who has been a part of the Perth music
scene for many years, performing with various groups and projects.
After studying Jazz at the Sydney N.S.W. Conservatorium, she spent a decade performing on
vocals and piano in Sydney, both in Jazz and Contemporary music outfits.
Sue has enjoyed a career in the music industry, performing at many gigs and concerts and
touring with national and international artists.
Sue is a founding member of the Jazz Vocal trio Birdland and the Jazz Divas, appearing in many
concerts, festivals and venues throughout W.A., and continues to perform with various projects
and recordings in Perth.
Sue is very excited to be singing with this new group.
