Te Kahui Tupua is a spiritual land, encompassing the triumvirate of volcanoes - Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro - and woven together by three rivers: the Whanganui, Whangaehu and Rangitikei.
According to ancient MΔori folklore, mountains were once great warriors and Gods.
As MΔori proverb states: 'Mehemea ka tuohu ahau me maunga teitei' that translates to 'If I should bow my head let it be to a high mountain'. ππβ°

The evolution of Torres Strait Masks and artifacts that will forever represent a rich culture of historical significance. The first one in particular is known as Koedal Awgadhalayg or 'That of a Crocodile totem' depicting the main totem of a Koey Buway (large village) usually comprising of Fighting Warriors. π·
