Payday Super Starts 1 July 2026 — Is Your Business Ready?
One of the biggest payroll changes in years is almost here.

From 1 July 2026, employers must pay superannuation within 7 business days of payday — not quarterly.

That means:
💸 Weekly payroll = weekly super
💸 Fortnightly payroll = fortnightly super
💸 Monthly payroll = monthly super

The ATO will monitor payments in real time through Single Touch Payroll, making late super much easier to detect.

Before July, make sure you:
✔ Confirm your payroll software is Payday Super ready
✔ Review your cash flow and working capital
✔ Check employee super fund details are correct
✔ Ensure payroll and bookkeeping staff understand the new rules

⚠️ Late super penalties under the new system will be harsher than before.
