My Place is assisting a man who is seeking a kind, compassionate, calm, caring, and reliable person or couple who are able to provide support to him within their home in the Northern suburbs of Perth. He is a 27 year old man living with Autism and requires prompting, supervision, and mentoring in his daily life. He enjoys music, animals, dancing, and going to op shops, and benefits from a supportive presence that is patient, steady, and understanding.
Homesharer families are reimbursed to cover their daily support needs and living requirements for the person they support and can enjoy a home-based lifestyle. Homesharing is not about sharing your home, it is about creating an enriching experience for this gentleman, yourself and your family. This gentleman has a support worker who assists him some days during the week, and he spends weekends with his Homesharer family.
Previous support experience is preferred along with the essential criteria of a positive attitude to people with a disability, excellent communication skills, NDIS Worker Screening, NDIS Worker Orientation Module and a driver's license.
The successful applicant would receive a tax-free subsidy as well as access to training as required.
Please email [email protected] to provide an expression of interest along with your current resume.
