Week 11 at Bull Creek: Pizza Party & NAIDOC Week Assembly π€πβ€οΈ
It has been a great final week of Term 2 at the Bull Creek site. This week, students who consistently demonstrated our school values and virtues were recognised with a well-deserved PBS Pizza Party. π
Today, students also participated in a whole-school assembly recognising NAIDOC Week, celebrated during the first week of July each year. The assembly provided an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while encouraging students to learn more about First Nations cultures and histories and recognise the world's oldest continuing living cultures.
Congratulations to all of our students on another fantastic term. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday break!

A big congratulations to Claire Younger, who runs our Breakfast Club five days a week for our FLDC and Caralee students, for receiving an award recognising her exceptional care and compassion as a volunteer in our Breakfast Program. This is a well-deserved acknowledgement of the positive impact she makes each morning for our students and community. We also acknowledge Margaret Reynolds, who generously volunteers her time and has done for many years, to this program and has also been recognised with an award, which she will receive soon.

πβ¨ National Simultaneous Storytime 2026 β¨π
Yesterday our students joined thousands of schools and libraries across Australia to take part in National Simultaneous Storytime 2026, celebrating a shared love of books and storytelling.
Students enjoyed the story Luna Roo, read aloud by special guest readers, while buddy classes also watched the authors reading online together. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to connect through a shared literacy experience across year levels and our campuses. π
Following the story, students engaged in a wide range of fun and active learning experiences linked to the book. Activities included character studies, puppet making, soccer skill development, and hands-on STEM challenges where students worked together to design and build soccer goals using sticks. Many students also enthusiastically tested their goalkeeping and scoring skills!
It was wonderful to see such creativity, collaboration and enjoyment across our school as students brought the story to life through play, inquiry and teamwork. ππ

π MINIBEAST INCURSION π
Our Year 1 and 2 students from all three sites gathered yesterday at the Willagee Campus for the Eco Action Minibeast Incursion.
Students enjoyed a hands-on experience exploring fascinating minibeasts, including stick insects, spiny leaf insects, giant burrowing cockroaches, beetles and worms. The incursion was a great introduction to their upcoming non-fiction unit, where they will write a report on a minibeast of their choice as part of our whole-school Language Enriched Talk for Writing program.
