To raise awareness of the continued blaming of those who are s*xually assaulted. Historically, the term ‘slut’ has carried a predominantly negative connotation.

What started as a single Instagram story and led to a national curriculum change is now a country-wide consent campaign — complete with hundreds of engaging, relatable and trauma-informed resources. After a year of pouring in our energy, research, lived experience and hope-filled hearts, we’re so proud to finally share what we’ve been working on. We truly believe these tools will help contribute to preventing harm in Australia and embedding empathy, respect and consent in young people and their relationships.

On behalf of the @teachusconsent team, we are deeply grateful to everyone who shared their vulnerable stories, unique perspectives and expertise — our Youth Advisory Group, the thousands of young people involved in our research, everyone we interviewed on our recent road trip and the incredible influential people who sat on the couch for our podcast series. We knew real change required modelling the kinds of open, honest conversations that make consent feel normal and safe. Thanks to them, we’ve done just that.

To the @teachusconsent team who worked on this project - Tess, Jack, Sofia, Kaylyn, Adam, Matt, Pnina & Annabelle - your passion, dedication and hard work comes through in every one of the resources. I couldn’t be more thankful to work alongside a team that embodies all the qualities Teach Us Consent preaches - respect, empathy & unwavering hope that we can build a better culture.

Find links to podcasts, docos, reels, articles & posters in the @teachusconsent bio, and there’s SO much more to come over the next few months.
