On Friday 12th June, the Matilda Bay kitchen is taking you on a Grand Tour... five courses, five wines and five countries, all without leaving the the comfort of Perth. From oysters and Sturia Oscietra caviar with Pierre Mignon Champagne in France, through to a Wagyu fillet with Istine Chianti Classico in Italy, finishing in Portugal with spiced poached quince and a Graham’s Fine Tawny Port... every course is a destination in its own right.

Some evenings you plan. Others you remember for the rest of your life. On Wednesday 6th May, Matilda Bay Restaurant and Penfolds invite you to take your seat at one of Perth’s most anticipated dining events of the year... a journey through Australian winemaking at its finest.
This is an evening shaped by the wines that have put Australia on the world stage. From the celebrated Yattarna Chardonnay 2018, known as the White Grange and one of the country’s most revered white wines. Through to the legendary Grange 2017, seven world-class pours have been chosen to complement six courses crafted by the Matilda Bay kitchen. Every pairing intentional. Every dish designed to let the wine shine while standing on its own merits.
This is a rare opportunity to experience Penfolds at its most extraordinary, in one of Perth’s most beautiful dining rooms, overlooking the Swan River. Last year’s dinner sold out and this year will be no different. Seats are strictly limited at $350 per head.
