Back what feels like a life time ago when I was a grease monkey slinging spanners for a living j*p crap šÆšµš cars where the centre of my universe, I was always cruising around in a skyline or a Silvia and put all my creativity into building some fun cars to drive around in.
When I left that life I also let go a little of the love i have for Japanese imports and driftingā¦. I didnāt feel like they had a place since I was hell bent on making something of myself with a camera
Now all these years later it feels good every now and then getting out and shooting the cars I love so much.
Last weekend headed to collie with my buddy ole pal to watch cars slide around and test out the new C50 with the 70-200mm and I gotta say itās a mean combo to get some nice and crispy drift footage all while being a fairly light weight package to move around a track with

People talk about burnout like itās overwhelming stress or constant exhaustion.
But for me, it felt different.
It wasnāt breaking down.
It was opening my laptop and feeling⦠nothing.
The ideas stopped flowing.
The excitement disappeared.
The projects I once couldnāt wait to work on started feeling like items on a checklist.
Thatās the scary part.
Not the exhaustion.
The disconnection.
When your passion becomes your profession, itās easy to spend so much time creating for everyone else that you slowly lose touch with why you started creating in the first place.
Burnout doesnāt always scream.
Sometimes it whispers.
It shows up as procrastination, frustration, lack of motivation, or that feeling of being emotionally checked out from the thing you used to love.
Iāve been learning that recovery isnāt about pushing harder.
Itās about slowing down long enough to reconnect with yourself, your creativity, and the reasons you started this journey in the first place.
If youāve been feeling numb lately, maybe you donāt need more discipline.
Maybe you need space.
