Tough day at the office for the Slick W***y crew, but we managed to get through it. Two more in the can and tracking for the album is 40% done. Stoked that the SW team stuck at it today and punched our way through the frustrating mistakes, big thanks to our producer, Michael Vdelli who kept the team focused and on task throughout the day..

Great session today at VE Sounds. Arrangement rehearsal before recording next week. These guys are sounding great, me? I still have some work to do lol...

Looking forward to spending today at VE Sounds with these cats smashin out a tune or two for the yet unnamed Slick W***y album. Then a Sunday sesh at Sir Henrys bustin some new moves and grooves with those pub rock legends "ROCKHOPPAS"...See ya there!

When people learn that we are having a crack at making an album and that Michael Vdelli from Vdelli Entertainment is producing, it normally inspires some rapid fire questions like. What's he like? Is it intimidating having to play music in front of him? Is he a scary dude? Does he make Souvlaki for the band? For sure the gods were smiling when timing and good fortune got us in VE Sounds Studio with one of the most iconic and dynamic Blues Frontman/Guitarists in Australia. Michael has recorded dozens of albums over his career and his experience in the studio is impressive as it is inspirational. But it is Michael's communication skills that are the most dialed in. He understands that studio time is expensive and he doesn't waste it on woke niceties. If he needs something done you will be under no illusion exactly what he wants. Here he is giving helpful guidance from the control room, I tuned up right quick!

Happy Straturday Slicksters. The last cog in the wheel of this Slick W***y project is our BV princess Sista Aims. A graduate of the Como College music program Amy has been involved in musical projects including citizenship ceremonies for the local Victoria Park shire. She is pictured here opening for the Salty Seamen at The Salt Shed in Raglan NZ. For the short term Amy is taking a brief hiatus from the band to deal with some "lifestyle" adjustments and personal therapy.
