I recently had the pleasure of designing and building a brand-new website for Neale and Annette at True Blue Apartments in beautiful Sheffield, Tasmania.

They were after a simple, budget-friendly site that would showcase their comfortable, Australiana-themed apartments, and their very first website for the business!

The colour palette takes inspiration from iconic Australian elements. The warm, deep tones of Uluru, the pale pinks of gumtree blossoms, the earthy greens of the ANZAC uniform, and the spirit of the kookaburra.

It was such a joy to bring this project to life. If you're heading to Sheffield and looking for a place to stay, check them out — they’re as lovely as their accommodation 💙

🌊 What is UX Design? ✨

Whenever I tell someone I'm a UX Designer, I usually get a blank stare, followed by a slow “ooookaaaay…” and a polite nod.

So today I thought I’d break it down in the simplest way possible 👇

User Experience (UX) Design is all about designing products — like websites and apps — that are easy, intuitive, and even enjoyable to use.

Ever landed on a website where you just couldn't find what you were looking for? That’s an example of bad UX.

My job is to take those frustrating experiences, pull them apart, and rebuild them so they just make sense, so that finding what you need feels effortless.

✨ That’s the magic of great UX.
