I have been working very hard to find the best solution for the assembly and distribution of my prototypes. More so with TL1.
Component and assembly cost is approximately $200 AU. I would like the retail price to be $350-$380. It is useful and needs to go to production. Let me explain
1/ I could sell the rights to one firm but I can not control the sell price per item.
NOT DOING THAT
2/ I could mass assemble and license distribution.
I HAVE NO ASSEMBLY LINE OPTION TO DO THAT.
3/ Sell 200 licences to assemble and distribute with no caveats on volume or pricing.
THIS WILL CREATE SELF COMPETITION IN PRICING AND UTILISE MULTIPLE EXISTING ASSEMBLY and DISTRIBUTION ORGANISATIONS
All licences would be released at the same time once the 200 are sold @ $5k each.
At this stage I would like expressions of interest.. not sure how long it will take to reach 200 commitment's. But I think this is the best way forward. It will prevent price gouging and get it to the masses.
