A recent study in Sierra Leone characterized indigenous chicken breeds, finding five distinct ecotypes and identifying the Kebu breed as having the most favorable physical traits. The research also revealed that E. coli isolates from these chickens showed resistance to several antibiotics, with the Kebu breed exhibiting the highest resistance.
