The Bangladesh Border Guard’s (BGB) 55th Battalion has officially deployed a cutting-edge "Drone Shield" to secure the 103-kilometre Habiganj border.

🚁 The Tech: Equipped with advanced thermal imaging and night-vision capabilities, these drones can detect movement in near-zero visibility. This massive technological leap supplements round-the-clock ground patrols to counter recent cross-border push-in threats.

🤝 The Community: Beyond the hardware, this initiative pioneers a "hybrid security architecture." High-tech aerial patrols are seamlessly integrated with grassroots, community-led intelligence from local residents, Ansar-VDP volunteers, and village police. Through night-time loudspeaker campaigns and yard meetings, locals are active participants in border monitoring.

With the battalion on its highest level of alert, BGB-55 Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Md. Tanzilur Rahman confirmed that zero infiltrations have been recorded to date, emphasizing that there will be no compromise when it comes to protecting the country's sovereignty.

Thanks to this dual-layered approach of surveillance and public engagement, residents are expressing renewed confidence in their safety. Day and night, the frontier is secure.
