Happy New Year once again!
I hope the year started well for you?

Soooo, let’s talk about NY resolutions! People say they don’t work and we should throw them away… okay! But I beg to differ and I made one anyway 😬

I think most NY resolutions don’t work because they are not specific enough, they are unrealistic and/or there’s no plan to follow through. For instance, if your NY resolution is to “lose weight” or lose 20kg by February 🫣😩 it’s already dead on arrival! The first is not specific enough and the second is unrealistic! A better plan would look like this: “lose 20kg by May by ……….” This is more likely to work because it is specific, realistic and you can actually measure your progress and all.

So, if you have made new year resolutions, today is a good time to look at them and check to see if they are actually specific enough, they are realistic and you have a plan to achieve them.

My new resolution is to be more intentional about my life and yes that’s broad broad but I also have specific areas to work on and specific goals under each of these which I will use to measure them. Not sure why I went SDG style but yea 😅 E.g. one area is health and under that, my goal is to drink at least 2.5-3.5 liters of water everyday and eat fruits and/or vegetables everyday. Make sense?

So, anyway, if you’ve made new year resolutions, please share them with me. I’d love to hear what they are!

I really want to thank everyone who is still following me, encouraging me and being supportive in their way. I am grateful because I haven’t added value lately and yet you’ve remained. The last 2+ years has been an interesting journey and I’ll definitely tell it all at some point. But for now, thank you. I mean it really. Thank you.

I felt I was ready to be Uzo The Gym Addict again a couple of months ago but fear happened. I feel like I’m ready now but I also feel overwhelmed and still afraid. I’ll just take this one step at a time. Please bear with me. I trust that everything will be okay.
