June is Pride Month.
Not because LGBTQ+ people want a month that is "all about them."
But because rights, visibility and safety were never handed to us voluntarily. Pride exists because people stood up, spoke up and sometimes risked everything so future generations could live a little more freely.
And Pride was never only about cisgender gay white men.
It's about everyone who has been told they are somehow "less than" because of who they are. People who aren't heterosexual. People who aren't cisgender. People who are not white. Women. Disabled people. Anyone who has ever been excluded from opportunities, respect or equal treatment because they didn't fit the image of what society considered "normal."
In other words: Pride is about equality.
And equality is not a finished project.
That's why visibility matters. That's why education matters. Because when we stop talking, people forget. Knowledge gets lost. Empathy gets lost. Nuance gets lost. And when that happens, prejudice quietly finds its way back in.
You don't have to be q***r to support Pride. You don't have to understand every experience to respect someone's humanity. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is listen, learn and stand beside someone whose life experience is different from your own.
I'm a q***r songwriter. I write about many things, but equality has always been one of the themes closest to my heart.
My latest single, Voltaire ?, is out now everywhere (it even got played on radio Nostagie which I'm extremely proud of) and is part of my latest album Depuis le jour où l'on est né. If you'd like to support q***r music, save it, add it to your library, stream it, share it—or discover the work of the countless other brilliant q***r artists out there.
Most of all: stand up for yourself, and be an ally for people who could use your support too.
Be kind. Be respectful. Be Human Throughout. 🤍

Honestly, I couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful birthday. 🤍
Robin surprised me with a day at the Efteling, one of my happiest places in the world. There were barely any people, the sun was shining, and for the very first time I finally got to experience Danse Macabre… three times in a row 😅 Sprookjesbos (Fairytale forest) will always have a very special place in my heart, but I truly loved this new attraction, Danse Macabre, so much more than I expected.
We also had dinner at the Grand Hotel and it was genuinely one of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time.
No big party, no chaos. Just a quiet, happy day with the person I love most.
Feeling very grateful. For love, for memories, and simply for being alive. 🖤
