The Tunisian dinar (Currency symbol: DT) has been the currency of Tunisia since November 1, 1958, following the promulgation of Law No. 58-109 of October 18, 1958. From this date, it replaced the Tunisian franc at the rate of 1 dinar per 1,000 francs.
