AGL has announced a 35% increase in electricity tariff effective 1 July.

They are also increasing the supply tariff by 14.2% following on a 14.6% increase only three months ago. That is 31% increase since March and it is not related to Russia/Ukraine or the energy price in Europe. The supply charge covers infrastructure, meter reading and administrative service, not energy. Inflation has been 7% so the supply charge should not be 31%!
