A 12-day Basic Entrepreneurship Course was successfully conducted for out-of-school youth in Dungna Gewog of Chhukha Dzongkhag, aimed at promoting self-reliance, innovation, and sustainable livelihood opportunities

29 participants (2 male, 27 female)
The programme equipped young participants with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and practical skills to initiate small, sustainable, income-generating enterprises, particularly in farming and local business development.

The closing ceremonies were graced by the Dasho Dzongdag of Chhukha Dzongkhag, who awarded completion certificates and emphasized the vital role of trained youth entrepreneurs in strengthening communities through innovation, value addition, and business-oriented approaches.
The Deputy Representative of UNICEF also attended the event, highlighting the importance of youth empowerment and community-based development.
The programme was supported by UNICEF through budget assistance, organized by the Dzongkhag Administration in collaboration with Gewog Administrations, and facilitated by trained entrepreneurs.

This initiative reflects the Dzongkhag’s continued commitment to empowering youth to take self-initiative, showcase their talents, and develop sustainable business enterprises at the grassroots level.

June 13, 2025 — The 4th Phase of the De-Suung National Service: Million Fruit Trees Plantation (MFTP) was officially launched today in Dungna village. The attended by the Gewog Agriculture, Gewog Administrations, De-suups, the Chiwog Tshogpas, and local farmers.
