Yoering-Ma

Pelsup Sailesh, from Cohort 1, is part of the team behind Yoering-Ma, a project focused on transforming biodegradable waste into high-quality vermicompost through earthworm-based composting systems. The idea reflects a practical and sustainable approach to waste management, while supporting more environmentally conscious agricultural practices.

Sailesh and his team were among the two winners of the DrukDen Startup Competition, where their project stood out for its potential to create real impact. What began as an idea has quickly evolved into a working startup, navigating the early challenges of building something from the ground up.

Through the Pelsung journey, Sailesh has gained a deeper sense of responsibility and confidence as a young entrepreneur. Engaging with mentors, professionals, and fellow Pelsups has helped shape both the direction of Yoering-Ma and his own growth as a leader.

Reflecting on the experience, Sailesh shares, “This recognition is not just a milestone for Yoering-Ma, but a reminder of the responsibility we carry to keep building and contribute meaningfully to our country. The journey has only just begun.”
