𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 | 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲

Minister of Transport & Public Works Honorable Eric Molale told parliament that Government will this coming financial year undertake a number of road infrastructure development projects as part of second year of the Transitional NDP.

He was presenting his Ministry‘a budget proposals for the 2024/25 financial year which comprises of P3.9 billon for development expenditure.

The Ministry plans to progress the following roads to construction during the 2024/2025 financial year and they will undergo design review prior before moving to construction stage.

a) Ghanzi Junction 44 – East / West Hanahai - New Xade (110Km)
Radisele – Pilikwe (23Km)
b) Mogoditshane – Gabane – Mmankgodi (27km)
c) Nata – Ngwasha Gate section (50km) and (14km) section to Pandamatenga (64km)
d) Palapye – Martins Drift (111km)
e) Maun – Mohembo [which entails Maun – Toteng Section (67km), Sehitwa – Tsau section (45km), and Nokaneng – Gumare section (37km)] to join with Gumare-Sepopa section which is currently under construction.
f) Modipane – Mabalane (24Km)
g) Moshupa – Manyana (23km)
h) Mmokolodi Access from A1 (7km)
i) Molepolole bypass (12km)

Under the design and construct package, the Ministry will start design of the roads listed below and immediately proceed to construction.

a) Rasesa - Kgope - Lentsweletau (15Km)
b) Lentsweletau - Mahetlwe - Hatsalatladi (40Km)
c) Hatsalatladi - Botlhapatlou - Ngware – Diphuduhudu (63Km)
d) Borobadilepe-Mokatako (52Km) with access road to Logagane and Phihetswane
e) Digawana-Molapowabojang - Kgomokasitwa - Magotlhwane - Ntlhantlhe (60Km)
f) Bere access road (15Km)
g) Rakops - Xere (14Km)
h) Kagcae access road (12Km)
i) Mosetse Dry port Access Road (5Km)
j) Mabule – Sekhutlane (20Km)
k) Kokong Junction – Kokong (20Km)
l) Makobo – Mathangwane (14Km)
m) Mabolwe – Mmamabaka (13Km)
n) Mohembo – Gudigwa (160Km)
o) Francistown – Nata (200Km); with access roads to places such as Gulubane
p) Nata – Maun which entails Nata – Gweta section (100Km); with access road to Tsokotshaa
q) Tloaneng - Mmankgodi (12Km)
r) Mopipi – Rakops road (50Km)
s) Thamaga – Kubung (22Km)
t) Letlhakeng-Khudumelapye-Salajwe-Kaudwane (93Km)
