📚 Lobatse Public Library Hosts 6th Basic ICT Literacy Graduation Ceremony 🎓

The Lobatse Public Library is proud to announce the successful completion of its 6th Basic Information and Technology Literacy Skills training since the program’s inception in 2023. A total of 31 participants have graduated from this cohort, joining many others who have benefited from this important community initiative.

The program is offered at no cost to members of the Lobatse community as part of our commitment to supporting the Botswana Government’s Reset Agenda – Digitalization. Through this initiative, we aim to empower citizens with essential digital skills that promote inclusion, innovation, and lifelong learning.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our graduates for their dedication and achievement. Together, we continue to build a knowledgeable and digitally empowered Lobatse community. 🇧🇼

Lobatse Public Library has partnership with Lobatse Prison to service the inmates with information. The wardner comes to the library with the inmates demand. The Prison is allowed to borrow 20 to 25 books for a period of 2 weeks. The inmates read for leasure.📚✨

We celebrated our 5th graduation ceremony for Basic ICT Training on the 1st of August 2025. We are proud of all the students that completed the program.✨❤️

The partnership between the Ministry Of Youth, Gender & Culture through the Botswana National Library Services & the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in providing access to Basic Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) to all has been successful every year!☺️

The partnership gave birth to the programme branded "Sesigo: Sefalana sa Kitso". The main objective of the program is to allow meaningful access to computers & internet to all citizens.
