And WHAT ABOUT PGDTVE & CVET graduates?
The ministry of Basic Education seems to be way ahead in their placement strategy as there is a clear paths of absorption of teachers in their system.. little to none can be said about the ministry of Employment which seem to have no direction at all when it comes to absorption or even temporary employment of lecturers in Brigades. This has left Post Graduate Diploma in Technical & Vocational Education (PGDTVE) and Certificate in Technical & Vocational Education (CVET) stranded.
Sometimes they are told to go register at labour offices because the DEPARTMENT OF SKILLS DEVELOPMENT (DSD) has no database of such graduates yet they are produced every year from one government institution of higher learning known as FRANCISTOWN COLLEGE OF TECHNICAL & VOCATIONAL EDUCATION (FCTVE).
Whats stopping the Ministry of Employment to have such database like that of TSM in the Basic Education ministry?
