Exciting News!!! There is so much to share with you so I'll just go for it!

1. We bought Buy The Yard Interiors in Ancaster! This means we are still a full-service decorating studio but with better access to custom upholstery, reupholstery, and custom window treatment workrooms! We are happy to offer complimentary consultations to help you with all of your decorating projects!

2. We are already adding new collections of furniture and home decor including area rugs, artwork, lighting, accessories, and everything we use to style our projects so they're magazine-ready!

3. Nicola is our new Studio Manager, who will be able to help you with everything in-store, including expert decorating advice and style recommendations.

4. Mackenzie is an Interior Decorator, who will be working with me on decorating projects, providing even more timely service and additional expertise.

5. Finally, our new studio is our home for client presentations and meetings. We can't wait to welcome you there and show you around!

Needs must, as the saying goes! I couldn't be on site for the delivery of a client's area rug this week, so I sent her this image to help her place it in the correct position. ⁠

This has given me the idea to create a guide for clients to answer questions about the placement of area rugs, artwork, lighting and anything else I can think of!

Here is a photo of a beautifully finished Great Room. When most people look here, they notice the architectural wood beams, the beautiful light fixtures, the expertly styled bookshelves, or the luxurious furniture. ⁠

When I look at this room, I see relationships. I see the family of 4 who joyously celebrated their first Christmas here after a devastating fire claimed their first home. I see an architect and a builder who worked tirelessly to finish this family's dream home during a pandemic. I see the photographer who worked for 2 days to make sure he captured every part of this home in the perfect light.⁠

Finally, I feel the trust that everyone put in me to help bring this house to life. What an honour and a privilege to be a part of this build. ⁠

I feel the most satisfied with my work when I've helped clients solve a problem. These clients had a very dark Kitchen prior to this update and really wanted their whole main floor to feel lighter and more fresh. They knew this wasn't going to be their forever home, so we opted to have the cabinets painted. We replaced the light fixtures with airy chrome pieces and lightened up the countertop as well. ⁠

The result is a much brighter home and a much happier family!!⁠

I'm amazed at how so many small businesses have managed to (word of the year....) pivot and provide their products and services in new ways this year. ⁠
