The youth-led group described the initiative as a significant step toward developing a unified national strategy to support the safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable repatriation of Rohingya refugees to their homeland in Myanmar. Rohingya Gen-Z also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting constructive efforts that advance a lasting solution to the protracted Rohingya crisis through coordinated national and international engagement.

The United Council of Rohingya (UCR) has welcomed the Government of Bangladesh's decision to establish a high-level National Committee to formulate a comprehensive national strategy on the Rohingya issue.
In a welcome statement, UCR expressed its support for the initiative and reaffirmed its commitment to working toward the safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable repatriation of Rohingya refugees to their homeland in Myanmar. The organization emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to address the protracted Rohingya crisis and achieve a lasting solution based on justice, security, and the protection of fundamental rights.
UCR also voiced hope that the newly formed committee would strengthen national coordination and advance meaningful progress toward resolving one of the world's longest-running refugee crises.

Bangladesh Forms High-Level National Committee to Accelerate Sustainable Rohingya Repatriation

The Bangladesh government has established an 11-member National Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, to formulate a comprehensive national strategy for the speedy, safe, voluntary, and sustainable repatriation of Rohingya refugees.
According to a Cabinet Division notification issued on Sunday, the committee will set priorities on key Rohingya-related issues and coordinate efforts among relevant ministries, law enforcement agencies, intelligence organizations, and other stakeholders involved in the repatriation process. The committee includes the Ministers of Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs, along with advisers from the Ministries of Finance and Planning and Defence.
The initiative aims to strengthen national coordination and develop a unified strategy to support the long-term resolution of the Rohingya crisis.
