Locate Your Main Shut-Off Valve: Find the main water shut-off valve for your outdoor faucets. It's typically located in the basement or crawl space.
Turn Off the Valve: Turn the valve clockwise (right) to shut off the water supply to your outdoor faucets.
Open the Outdoor Faucets: Once the water supply is off, go outside and open all the outdoor faucets. This will allow any remaining water to drain out, preventing freezing.
