✨️Filipinos Rising and Babae Filipina-Canadian marked International Women's Day by honouring the voices, wisdom, and lived experiences of Filipino/x women in Calgary. What emerged was more than an event—it was a shared space of courage, connection, and kapwa. 🇵🇭 🇨🇦

🙌🏽 Together, we are building pathways that honour our heritage, our resilience, and our shared responsibility to one another as Kapwa Babae. This is only the beginning of what we can create when our stories lead the way. 💙💛❤️

✨️Ipinagdiwang ng Filipinos Rising at Babae Council ang International Women’s Day sa pamamagitan ng paggalang sa mga tinig, karunungan, at karanasang-buhay ng mga Filipino/x na babae sa Calgary. Higit pa ito sa isang pagtitipon—naging espasyo ito ng tapang, pagkakaugnay, at kapwa. 🇵🇭 🇨🇦

🙌🏽 Sama-sama tayong lumilikha ng mga landas na nagbibigay-pugay sa ating pamana, katatagan, at sama-samang pananagutan sa isa’t isa bilang Kapwa Babae. Simula pa lamang ito ng mas marami pang maaring mabuo kapag ang ating mga kuwento ang siyang nagtatakda ng direksyon. 💙💛❤️

𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 is an initiative of Filipinos Rising, funded by the Government of Canada through the New Horizons for Seniors Program, in collaboration with the Centre for Newcomers. The program creates safe, inclusive, and meaningful spaces where older adults can learn, connect with others, develop leadership, and remain active and valued members of their families and communities.

Below are the upcoming activities for our seniors this 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵

We encourage everyone to 𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚.
Seniors may ask for assistance from their children or grandchildren (apo) to help them complete the registration.
