Where Stigma Ends and Recovery Starts

Let's take this next step to change the conversation

🔆Goood morning folks! 🔆

I don't know about you guys but we are personally feeling burnt OUT🙃
While researching self care for myself I couldn't help but think its a word that's thrown around a lot but how do we really incorporate self care in our daily life? The word itself sounds like a mystified vague term...
Self-care is about getting down to the specifics. So here's some ways it can actually help!

▪️Boundaries: Evaluate what activities or ppl give you energy and what/ who drains you.

▪️Practicing saying NO‼️:
(That's a tough one ) but one of the MOST important.

▪️Identify your "ground level". Is it usually feeling calm? Anxious? Maybe start noting what your regular is. And if it is not where you want to be, ask yourself what can help to get to your ground level goal. Is that giving up something? Is it seeking help from a medical professional? ❣

▪️Once you identify your grounding level. When you are feeling deregulated, what can you do to put yourself back in a space you feel comfortable in?
Is it carrying a picture around that makes you feel happy? Is it carrying a stone to touch to bring you back to the present moment?

▪️REGULATE SLEEP ROUTINE!!!! 🌙🪐
I cannot emphasize this enough. In any rehab/ treatement center the first step into establishing a stable routine is regulating sleep. Good Sleep is a reset for everything! Mental/emotional and physical.

✔Self-care is shoved down our throats in social work. I thought I'd share this link they recommended for us to help establish a self- care routine in depth:

✌💕 Please prioritize YOUR self-care
