Back in the 80s they installed buffalo board instead of plywood on houses, makes for expensive renovation to correct. For those who don’t know what buffalo board is, it can best be described as fibrous, insulating sheathing that was used in construction but is susceptible to water damage almost like a thick cardboard, you can actually push your finger right through. Horrible choice home builders in the 80s made.
